Wallkill River, May, 2026

Recap from Barclay Foord: “It was wet for part of the day, and it was cool for the entire trip. Six people, all in doubles, and we had three pull-outs to contend with. One was impressive; the people made it through the wild rose bushes, and the boats went through a intermediary pool; a virtual two-step. We saw two eagles and plenty of the usual swamp birds. The trip took the expected 5 hours, what with the pull-outs, and we all had wet feet. Overall, the water was a bit low, so we had some scraping, but it was soft bottom and the canoes were fine.
