A prefect, warm and almost windless late summer day welcomed our group for a serene paddle on Atsion Lake in the Jersey Pine Barrens. After jockeying for a parking place while a Duathlon was centered at our place of put-in, we escaped the cyclists and runners to get out in solitude and nature on the water. We paddled the perimeter of the lake then explored up the Mullica River.
Afterwards, we gathered at the home of Jennifer and Ed for a backyard potluck dinner. Thank you to Jennifer and Ed for hosting!
