A brisk autumn day provided some challenging paddling. But that helped to work up a hearty appetite as the highlight of this excursion is always the Germanic feast as the canoes pull up to an island in Split Rock Reservoir. Barclay Foord and Mike Leone cooked up some delicious food and others brought some appetizers and other yummy snacks to share.
